Mission

1.  Strengthening & empowering peoples' organizations by focusing on poor and disadvantaged groups and enhancing their roles in the participatory development process.
2.  Promoting local community initiation for the improvement of the quality of life through the effective and considerate use of local resources.
3. Managing natural resources for sustainable development in developmental activities and natural resources.
4. Promoting, Integrating and advocating the applications of sustainable development principles and practices for achieving, collaborative, community-based, equitable, and efficient initiatives, actions, and Programmes.

Goals

1.  To develop sustainable livelihoods for poor and natural resources dependent communities
2. To enable vulnerable and disadvantaged groups to climate change adaptation and build resilience to disasters
3. To facilitate change in knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) for achieving overall sanitation.
4. To promote partnerships among small farmers, producers and entrepreneurs in collaboration with private sectors.
5. To advocate knowledge and evidence-based inclusive policy change at different levels.
6. To improve the natural resources by collaborating with different stakeholders; government, donors and the private sector.
7. To empower women to generate and have control over their income.

Objectives

1. To support governmental organizations, international non-governmental organizations, bilateral/multilateral organizations, public and private sectors in effective team functioning, on-the-job training and capacity growth process.
2. To help rural communities (grass root people) for forming people's organizations and promote them for planning and implementation of local development activities.
3. To Conduct resource mapping and plan development activities based on a sustainable development approach (Social, Ecology/Environment and Economic).
4. To conduct capacity-building training on forestry, agriculture, community development, livestock, cooperatives, entrepreneurship development, natural resource management and rural development sectors.
5. To conduct research, studies, knowledge-product development, consultancy services, monitoring, evaluation and learning activities.
6. To provide services for proposal, project development and implementation activities in natural resource management, climate change and disaster risk reduction, and local water management sectors.
7. To advocate for good governance, gender equality, social inclusion, sustainable development, participatory development, and social change process.
8. To support for strengthening community-based organizations, civil society, cooperatives, women's groups, resource management groups, NGOs and public and private sectors for leading developmental activities.
9. Contribute to aquatic and terrestrial biodiversity through local government, community and expert mobilisation with appropriate technologies intervention.
10. Manage waste products through collection, reuse, recycling and technology intervention. 
11. Minimise forest degradation, deforestation and invasive species control.
12. Manage multipurpose trees, herbs, grass, fruits, Non-Timber Forest Products, and Medicinal and Aromatic plants in the road and river corridors for both ecology/environment and development activities management for sustainability.
13. Manage water and river products like sand, gravel, aquatic animals and plants for ecology/environment management and development activities regulating sustainable ways.
14. Manage landscape by practising agro-forestry, forestry, bio-engineering, local water management, and homestead management.
15. Practice/act on good governance, gender, equity and equality and social inclusion, and policy development for gender balance society through GESI implementation.
16. Contribute in wetland and mountain management for a sustainable supply of water for hydro power, irrigation, and drinking water proposes.
17. Worked on climate change resilience activities, and disaster risk management activities.
18. Capacity building of people for identifying problems and resolving those identified problems in the local, provincial and national levels.
19. Worked on public health and sanitation
20. Plan and implement ecosystem restoration projects, Climate resilient, landscape and livelihood restoration and improvement project in the country.
