  • Laligurans Community Development & Training Institute (LCDTI) was established in 1995 as a non-governmental organization registered in the District Administration Office, Kaski, Nepal. Likewise, it has been registered at Social Welfare Council. This organization is firmly committed to social changes through sustainable management of natural resources through mobilizing local communities/organizations. This organization focus on 1) Training 2) Consultancy 3) Research 4) Development of projects and implementation 5) Advocacy sectors. This organization was founded by Ram Prasad Gyawali, Gopal Dhowj Jung Khadka, Narayan Sharma Sigdel, Mahendra Rimal, Laxman Prasad Koirala, Bhola Dhakal Eakraj Sharma Sigdel in Pokhara Nepal. This organization focuses on the social, ecological/environmental and economic (SEE) model for sustainable development. LCDTI believes in a holistic development approach, prioritizing sustainable development activities and natural resource management. It has been working in partnership with CBOs, NGOs, INGOs, GOs, and bilateral organizations including private companies and firms. It works in agriculture, forestry, natural resource management and rural development through local resource mobilization, animal health, local water management, Enterprise development, community development and advocacy, cooperative development and financial strengthening, poverty reduction and disaster risk management sectors. Moreover, it also involves in research, development, knowledgeable products development, advocacy for laws & policy formulation and strengthening. LCDTI use its working framework during the implementation of its activities. LCDTI coordinates with Local government, provincial government, donors, international organization, and private sector funding for the cooperative activation in the development field. LCDTI provides capacity-building training, managerial skill, planning and implementation, leadership developments for resilience activities of climate change, disasters reduction, local water management, women empowerment, food security, disasters reduction, water management, natural resources, especially water forest, biodiversity conservation, management and sustainable use, reduction of emission, degradation and deforestation in the working area.
